Sarah Jane Dhall (née Unger) is a cultural intelligence and trends expert, helping media, entertainment, tech and consumer businesses navigate fast-moving times with clarity and confidence, leveraging external shifts as a competitive advantage.
Previously, Sarah was Founder and COO of CULTIQUE, a cultural insights and strategy partnership with Linda Ong.
An award-winning cultural expert, Dhall has provided intel and POVs to businesses such as Paramount, Mastercard, AARP, AMEX GBT, Amazon, Airbnb, YouTube, Apple, WBD, and Disney/ABC to recalibrate for new audiences, minimize risk, and cultivate growth in an uncertain world. Dhall has been a frequent commentator in media such as The New York Times, Fortune, The Atlantic, Forbes, NYLON and DAZED.
Previously, Dhall was SVP, Cultural Insights & Strategy at CIVIC Entertainment Group. Dhall also served as Vice President of Marketing Strategy, Trends & Insights at Paramount (formerly Viacom), working across its portfolio such as Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central, BET, and Nickelodeon. She was named one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 during her tenure at Ketchum as Vice President, Insights & Strategic Planning where she launched the Millennial and Gen Z division.
Dhall is a graduate of the University of Virginia and completed a Finance and Accounting class at Stanford, as well as the Harvard Business School 2018 Business of Entertainment, Media, & Sports. Since 2015, she’s been on the Board of Trustees for The Hackley School, is a member of the Television Academy, and was recently appointed to LAist’s Next Gen Advisory Council. A frequent public speaker, she has led sessions at SXSW and VidCon and was featured in New York Times bestselling author Dan Schwabel’s book, Back to Human: How Great Leaders Create Connection in the Age of Isolation and futurist Erica Orange’s book, AI + The New Human Frontier.
